Brick Slips Wickes???

Brick Slips Wickes???

I recently picked up a kitchen brochure from the DIY superstore Wickes and upon flicking through the pages for some kitchen inspiration i came across a gorgeous dark blue shaker style kitchen (I know, so on trend) with an exposed brick wall behind it similar to our Reclaimed Barnstock brick slips.

We see this combination quite often from some of our happy customers and how can we blame them, it does look stunning. The period shaker style units really pairs well with a brick feature wall.

What shocked me about this brochure photo was the quality of the bricks in the background. Or should I say brick effect wallpaper.

It’s such a shame when you are advertising a kitchen costing over £10,000 that you would let the overall look down by using brick wallpaper.

Brick wallpaper does have it’s place and can be used to great effect but it seemed such a shame to let this kitchen down with a subpar finish when using real brick slips would have given it such a better look and finish.

That got me thinking… Do Wickes offer brick slips? The simple answer is NO.

Along with some of the other big DIY superstores such as B&Q and Homebase, brick slips seem to be one product that they simply don’t offer or the products they do offer just aren’t good enough.

Here at Reclaimed Brick-Tile we are one of the leading brick slip manufacturers in the UK, cutting all of our brick slips here at our Manchester factory from real reclaimed and handmade bricks.

Being one of the longest standing brick slip companies in the UK, our team know what they are talking about and can advice on all aspects of your project whether it is a kitchen backsplash or some feature walls in a new extension project.

Our brick slips add a sense of instant character to your project and our happy customer reviews say it all.

So, if you’ve been in search of the exposed brick look in your home and Wickes, B&Q and the other big DIY stores haven’t been of any use to you. Get in touch with our expert team who will be more than happy to help out with creating that exposed brick look in your home.
