Customer kitchen project – Reclaimed Barnstock

Customer kitchen project Reclaimed Barnstock

Another happy customer.

Liz from Rugby decided to go for our Reclaimed Barnstock brick slips in her recent kitchen renovation.

This is an excellent example of the country farmhouse look that can be achieved using our brick tiles. As our Reclaimed Barnstock brick slips are made from original British reclaimed bricks, their weathered character blends straight in to create a warm country feel than can’t be achieved with new brick tiles.

Liz was kind enough to put together the below testimonial about the brick tiles she chose and the service received from our team…

“As soon as my husband and I saw the original exposed wall in the cottage at our first and only viewing, we were hooked. After moving in and beginning plans on the only other downstairs room – kitchen/dining room/family room. I knew I wanted the wall theme to carry on. The only problem was the property had been extended with plaster hiding breeze blocks. I wasn’t sure that it would work, but I decided that I wanted to find a real brick tile for the wall, rather than resin alternatives, as I am passionate about recycling and reusing materials when possible. It needed to give that ‘stripped back and exposed wall look’ to continue from our other sitting room. To be honest I wasn’t even sure they existed as a tile, but of course they did.

My mission began to track some down and I found ‘Reclaimed brick tiles’ but was unsure which brick to choose. James and the team arranged for samples to be delivered and advised me on the period of my house and which would probably fit the best. He told me about the age of some of the bricks and the effect they would give.

Delivery of my Reclaimed Barnstock bricks, sealant and all the necessary mortar was quick and efficient and I am pleased to say they now reside beautifully on my wall. Thank you to James for his advice and organised service.

Several friends have commented on my new ‘exposed’ kitchen wall, which of course delighted me and although the thought came into my head to say that it was an original feature, I buckled and couldn’t resist telling them they were reclaimed bricks, where they were from and the service I had received. Thank you again James 1f642 - brick slips - reclaimed brick tile
